Upon registration you may pay for the whole year at once or, two payments in September and January or make monthly payments.
If you choose monthly payments you will be charged a deposit of one month of lessons per student.
This deposit will be used to pay for the last month of classes attended for the year [ie ending June 30].
Monthly payments are made at or before the first lesson each month.
Customers maintaining their accounts on schedule will be eligible to reschedule up to three lessons during the year, if cancelled with at least 24 hours notice.
We accept E-Transfers, Debit, Master Card, Visa, Cheques or Cash.
We can set up a recurring credit card payment for the beginning of each month.
Lesson fees are non-refundable
Lessons booked week to week must be paid in advance and cannot be cancelled or re-scheduled.
As a school that employs over a dozen teachers, it is important that we have a clear policy that is reasonable for both the students and the teachers.
What do lessons cost and what am I paying for?
Lessons are $25 per 30 minutes of private lesson time, $50 for an hour. Occasionally, a teacher will end the lesson a couple of minutes early to communicate with the parents regarding a child or youth’s progress. When you book lessons, you are booking a time slot in the teacher’s day and are responsible to pay for this time slot even if you do not attend. See below for the re-scheduling policy. All lessons must be paid for before the lesson day.
What if I only want to take a few lessons, or book just one to meet the teacher?
No problem, we are happy to book a first lesson to meet the teacher. If you really are just looking for a few lessons, they must be scheduled around the
teacher’s yearlong lesson students. Make-up lessons are not available for occasional lessons or short term bookings.
What if I break my arm?
In the event that you are injured in a manner that makes playing impossible, let us know and we will put your lessons on hold until you are healed or you can use those weeks to gain a greater understanding of music theory which will benefit you no matter what instrument you play. While we do not refund lessons, they may be transferred to someone else.
What if I have to miss a lesson [re-scheduling and make-up lessons]?
We understand that life can be complicated people get sick, have other things come up or take vacations. When you pay ahead each 4 weeks, you are committing to the teacher for 4 paid time slots in that month. Provided your account is maintained up to date, if you are unable to attend and give us 24 hours’ notice, as a courtesy, we can allow you to come on another day/time to still have the lesson time however it is your responsibility to arrange the extra time, it will not be added on the end; make-up lessons cannot be re-scheduled again.
